DEFINING THE URBAN NOMAD
A maverick is an unorthodox or independent-minded individual and YEOHLEE fits well for the launch of our FASHION MAVERICK TOUR. Yeohlee Teng studied at Parsons School of Design The New School and founded YEOHLEE Inc in 1981. Yeohlee's work and designs are in the permanent collection of Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the late Richard Martin, then Chief Curator, called her "one of the most ingenious makers of clothing today." She dresses the "urban nomad", a term she coined in her Fall 1997 collection, She is a master of design management and believes in the efficiency of year-round, seasonless clothes.
The FASHION MAVERICK TOUR at YEOHLEE will give our guests a rare encounter with the designer's work and an opportunity to listen to Yeohlee talk about her process and philosophy.
This is a very exclusive event and we only have 15 spots available per time slot.
